I pretty new to this, so do people have any suggestions as far as organization/design  of the forum?

well, i hate the green color!

also,
the light background is pretty nasty on the eyes.
seriously, turn off the lights with this page open,
well, i don't want to stare into a light.
darken it up!

oh and:
Try to advertise the site's existence!

Well, I posted an add on the parent sites forum which has gotten lots of views but hasn't seemed to have attracted any one.  Where else could I advertise?

Could you make a "Consolidation" section or something like that? We seriously need a section specifically dedicated to things we have definitively decided on. Of course, the rule should be that we have all the kinks worked out that we can with just planning, but you get the gist.

For example: We've generally decided to rely on groundwater. Once we figure out how to get and purify it, we should have the declaration in the consolidation section. For example, if our decision is "Water will be gathered from the ground via a well and purified using carbon filtration, then subsequently stored underground in metal containers with a system that constantly filters and circulates the water consisting of several carbon filters and a giant "fan"", that would be the official declaration and we could get to work on schematics and exact measures of materials needed.

All hail Moosifer!

And the site looks great, btw. I think we should do very direct advertising primarily. Talk to people, get to know them, and send them this way. We should also mercilessly plug this site into whatever we are talking about or writing, get it on infoshop.org and riseup.net, and possibly even do some viral style marketing with obscure cards consisting of a graphic and the website.
