That's what I was thinking. We can also try to perfect a fresnel furnace, or even a fresnel blast furnace. Smile

I though the point of a fresnel was to not have fuel...

Theoretically, you can melt metal, cement, whatever with the fresnel lens. Wouldn't it be possible to superheat a contained chamber and blast that air onto metal?

Yes you could blast air onto the metal but what good would it do?
