I just want to get a feel for when people can start. For instance, I can start anytime from a year from now to four plus years.

As you might know, Glorfon has decided to either haitus or leave the site (unknown as to which), and has left me with all the admin stuff (mwahahaha??)

NEway, I figured that since we've basically broken Liberation Gardens down into two sections, the urban and the rural communes, we should probably break down the forum into those categories as well.

If you have any suggestions, at all, please let me know. This goes for everything from Categories or forums to ranks etc.

Can we get either a separate forum category or a sub forum for the Urban Commune?

Since it seems that LeReve and I will be able to start the urban commune (names? Sticking w/ Liberation Garden(s)?) in a year or so (next summer, LeReve?), I'd like to put for a few rules (dislike that word), excuse me: guidelines, for your approval.

I'm considering canceling the commune. At least the commune as we currently envision it. Here's my resoning.

It is a very distant goal. I wouldn't be available for it for at least 6 years. That kind of long term planning is too difficult. It is a hindrance to feel like you have an obligation to your future self. I don't want to disappoint you later on. I don't want anyone to make a big decision on the hope that this commune will happen and then be disappoin ...

Hi i really don't understand why anyone of a new or just starting commune would want more then say 2 computers for use by the entire commune to begin with. i mean lets think about it how much time are we going to have FREE from work/chores???

I understand none of us want to live back in the stone ages being this is the 21st Century.
But we have to be real about even stuff that seems as small as this.

Any of you heard of HHO gas?
I know most if not all have heard of Wind generators and solar panels, but what about solar heat and solar cooking?
Hydro generators also.
also geothermal heat and cooling.

All of if mot most of these these "generators" can be DIY.

Seeing how we seem to be sure we finished out planning, I'm sure we've forgotten something.

I believe the best way to figure this out is to imagine a day at the commune, and type it up in detail, so we can all go over it carefully and note what we have missed.

Oh, and I have a headache atm so I'm not typing anything up...

How many of you will be gardening this summer? What are you planting? I'm hoping to garden a 80sq ft patch in my pack yard. I'm going to try potatoes, corn, pole beans, carrots, radishes, and mabey lettuce.
