Yeah, causality fits it perfectly, lol. I just totally spaced my last philosophy class. Pretty much the rejection of destiny and miracles in favor of the realization that the reason things happen is because either other things happen or we simply don't know. This is pretty much the only way I see of reconciling this "religion" with "theists", since if you believe in free will then you can't have destiny and god's interference in anything would affect other people who may outright reject god (and considering his omniscience, if he knows how it's going to affect EVERYTHING, then whatever affect he has on people reject him could possibly manipulate them into not rejecting him and thus negate their free decision) (excuse my not including other religions here).

And I like that. 10.An acceptance of change in all things, including but not limited to life, death, knowledge, culture, and nature, and a desire to foster such change. Also a desire to cause benevolent change, regardless of it's outcome. (Categorical imperative can go fuck itself. If the action is made in benevolence, the action is benevolent. Is the action is made in malevolence, the action is malevolent. The action itself, without benevolence or malevolence, is nothing. This also means fuck the justice system as we know it. A good read might be "Justice as a System of Organized Vengeance")

And privacy of self has importance when you consider the malevolent/benevolent factor that I tried to integrate into the whole thing. However, becoming closer and more intimate with people you care for as well as getting rid of the different selves we keep I think is essential to any human. A lot of us have home-self, work-self, professional-self, party-self, public-self, private-self, family-self, and many other selves. We change schema all the time, even though we are 1 multifaceted person, and we should embrace making ourselves whole. Maybe rephrasing it to make this the emphasis, rather than the treatment of a symptom, would be best. something like: 9.A desire to integrate oneself into a whole person and a dissolution of the gaps between benevolent individuals in all things: a quest for a whole person and a whole community.

And if you like 7, you'll REALLY like my "SEE" (Society for Everybody Else) when I get done with it.

I don't think we need to pose as a religion.  But if we do, it can be based on what you ought to do we'll call it oughtism and we'll all be oughtistic.

If we offer free housing like we had discussed then that can be our purpose.

If we added "A strong devotion to not taking our religion seriously while following it's tenets" and "A strong belief that any religion is simply a myth propagated by an individuals personal beliefs, therefore a necessity for the individual to uphold their own beliefs and their own myth", then create another set of parallel tenets for anybody who thinks differently, we could even throw in a bit of unitarianism. How would that sound?

It sounds a lot like Discordianism if you ask me.  Hail Eris!

Anyway, I wouldn't say this shouldn't be a religion as much as a practice.  Like Zen, which a lot of people of many faiths participate in.

Discordianism... is a modern religion centered on the idea that chaos is as important as order.

sorry, but i hate majority religions, especially when they turn people into stupid neonazis.

Possibly we could create the most open-ended, up-for-interpretation, non-invasive/non-offensive religion/practice in the history of mankind?

We can call it Unitarianism +1
