Alright.  So what is to be done about medical care and first aid?  Are we going to try a holisitc approach to minor ailments and only take people to hospitals if there are serious conditions?  Also, should we focus on befriending a local doctor to assist us?  Certainly this issue shouldn't be taken lightly and is of most importance that we have to discuss.

That should be a decision more along the lines of "to each their own." I'm doing a lot of personal research into holistic approaches to medicine and I'll have my own collection of herbs for anybody that wants to try that approach, but the thing to realize is that everybody reacts differently to every herb and medicine so learning about your body and how to understand its reactions is important.

It would be wise to befriend a local doctor, it would be wiser to see if anybody that we caught the eye of is a doctor or is on that route.

I'm not quite sure I understand what you mean by holistic.  I think you may be thinking of herbalism:
Quote:
Herbalism is a traditional medicinal or folk medicine practice based on the use of plants and plant extracts.

There are a lot of good, natural medicines and remedies out there; there are just as many bogus ones.  Tempering isolation and sustainability with trips to the hospital is a very good idea.

*snort* From my experience with HS health, it's not going to help much (no offense).
