Post BEES!  Reply with quote
Admittedly bees scare the shit out of me!  It's been a long time fear of mine.  But I think I could learn to cope.  What do all of you think about keeping bees on the farm? the would help pollinate the plants and would produce honey.

Considering bees are disappearing all over the world, and we're concerned with sustainability, I'd consider it a duty.

Aye, everything from candles to sealing jars, etc.

I like the idea of a few bees.  Also, if we ever get around to it, we could sell some of their honey.  From what I've seen, a large number of people are in the market for unrefined honey, something you can't easily find commercially.

Hmm... I don't know if I want to get into producing honey for sale.  I think we just need enough for ourselves.  Maybe a hive or two?  Does any one know where to get the equipment?
